Mission:
To build a community of women philanthropists; create a permanent endowment fund; and provide grants to institutions and initiatives that address the needs of women and girls in Howard County.
Financial Commitment:
There are four different levels of giving. The highest level is $5,000 per year.
Number of Participants: 360 donors
Participant Demographics:
Made up primarily of women, this circle is comprised of four generations of donors. Their median ages fall between 50-65.
How the Circle Functions:
The circle is hosted by The Columbia Foundation, a local community foundation.
Future Ambitions:
The Women’s Giving Circle has set a goal of establishing an endowment of at least $500,000.
