Selected Giving Circle Mission Statements

The mission of the Women’s Giving Circle at the Baltimore Community Foundation is to raise money and distribute contributions to projects that improve life for women and their families in the greater Baltimore community.

The Giving Circle fulfills its mission by gathering contributions, educating its members about the power of collective philanthropy, broadening awareness of issues affecting women and their families in the Baltimore region, and identifying and supporting nonprofit organizations that offer programs to support women and their families.

B’MORE Fund: The overall goals of the B'MORE Fund are to:

  • Leverage financial, social and human capital for philanthropic impact
  • Increase the awareness of fund members and the community about issues affecting the region
  • Provide members opportunities for hands-on involvement in grantmaking and social investment
  • Celebrate the work of social entrepreneurs in our community
  • Incubate a network of leaders and increase philanthropy in the region

The Cleveland Colectivo: Clevelanders coming together to strengthen our community through collective investments that identify and nurture innovative projects.

The Giving Circle of HOPE provides funds and assistance to people in need in Northern Virginia by:

  • issuing grants once a year
  • participating in monthly service projects
  • organizing weekly programs for homeless children and elderly/disabled members of our community.

The mission of the NGAAP FUND is to identify, cultivate, and raise resources that will aide in the distribution of funds to improve the quality of life of African Americans living in the Greater Triangle area. The NGAAP FUND fulfills its mission by gathering contributions, educating its members about the power of collective philanthropy and broadening their awareness of issues affecting African Americans in the Greater Triangle region.

Impact 100 Greater Indianapolis is a charitable women’s giving circle dedicated to awarding high impact grants to nonprofits in our community in the areas of arts & culture, education, environment, family, and health & wellness.

Pangea: Our vision of the future is a world where citizens from the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere:

  • Directly invest their time and money to learn about international development and environmental issues,
  • Learn to understand how their individual and societal actions may contribute to or alleviate these problems,
  • Leverage their resources through cooperative action with like-minded individuals and existing organizations, and
  • Develop new organizations and methods of responding to the problems they find.

Social Venture Partners Minnesota: To impact the educational potential of ‘at risk’ kids.

The Washington Women's Foundation educates, inspires and increases the number of women committed to philanthropy in order to strengthen community and demonstrate the impact that can result from informed, focused grantmaking.

Washington Women's Foundation will change the course of women's philanthropy by:

  • Producing locally and nationally recognized leaders in philanthropy
  • Increasing the visibility and influence of major philanthropic investments by women
  • Inspiring widespread replication of its innovative approach to educating philanthropist and making grants
