Location: Webinar

The Pension Protection Act of 2006 imposed new pre-grant due diligence requirements for all private foundations and sponsors of donor-advised funds, especially where grants to supporting organizations are concerned. The Forum of Regional Associations of Grantmakers is joining with the law firm of Steptoe & Johnson LLP and GuideStar for an educational Webinar about this issue. Our speakers will present several "case studies" to further flesh out required steps and help you to spot red flags.

Join us to learn more about the act's requirements, the stiffened penalties it imposes, new guidance from the IRS, how to navigate the IRS tools, and how GuideStar Charity Check can help grantmakers comply with the law. Presenters will include Suzanne Ross McDowell, a partner with Steptoe & Johnson LLP and Dan Moore, vice president for public affairs at GuideStar.  The webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, October 30 from 2-3 pm ET.

Call-in information and briefing materials will be provided to registered participants prior to the Webinar.  This program is offered free to grantmakers courtesy of Steptoe & Johnson LLP and GuideStar.
