Current Strategy
Although many organizations and individuals are working to catalyze new giving, the field of philanthropy promotion is still in its infancy. The New Ventures in Philanthropy initiative has been the largest organized effort to determine effective practice in developing new philanthropy among diverse populations and in diverse geographical contexts.
At the same time, many other organizations and networks have tackled this work – growing philanthropy among women, racial, ethnic, and tribal groups, next generation donors, and others. In the projects’ current phase, a critical function we can perform is to assemble, magnify, and make accessible the most successful practices about developing new philanthropy.
