Mission Investors Exchange is pleased to announce its 14th Mission Investing Institute, from Monday, June 19 through Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at the Troy, Michigan offices of The Kresge Foundation.
This intensive educational programming is designed for foundations to better engage and strengthen their own practices with curriculum made for both newcomers and seasoned mission investors. Participants in this two-and-a-half-day interactive learning experience will be immersed in the broad spectrum of impact investing with emphasis on the mission focus of foundations. Attendees have multiple occasions to network and learn from fellow foundation professionals in small settings. Sessions are led by Mission Investors Exchange members and foundation professionals with deep impact investing experience.
The updated curriculum, developed especially for foundation staff and trustees, includes brief presentations and deep dive case study examples on issue areas such as the internal administration and organizational dynamics of foundations, employing a diversity, equity & inclusion (DEI) lens, investing in clean energy and water infrastructure, the power of guarantees, and using the foundation’s position as a shareholder to create impact.
