  • Policy Update:

    Johnson Amendment

    The Forum supports the continued full enforcement of the "Johnson Amendment" that prohibits 501(c)(3) charitable organizations from endorsing, opposing or contributing to political candidates and engaging in partisan campaign activities. We are opposed to any weakening or repeal of the Johnson Amendment and rejects any proposal, such as the executive order, that inserts partisan politics into the charitable sector.

    The Forum is excited to begin work on a two-year project to engage regional funders in ensuring a more thorough and accurate census count in 2020 supported by funding from the The Joyce Foundation.
